I'm from Weslaco, TX, which is located at the very bottom of the state, almost toward the Mexico border.
I'm 27 and graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville where I received my degree in Communications in Journalism.
My hobbies include reading and writing, I usually spend my free time getting lost in a book store.
I knew I wanted a career in journalism when I was in the fourth grade and my school would broadcast the morning announcements. My first interview ever was when I had the opportunity to interview a Marine about Toys for Tots. I knew then I wanted to become a reporter.
My goals include furthering my career in becoming an editor and ultimately a publisher at a well respected newspaper. Also, like any journalist, I'd like to win a Pulitzer someday.
One of my strengths is I'm a fast learner and I always welcome feedback in my work, I feel with it I can become better at what I do.
